Registration for the conference and the workshop can be found in menu to the left.
Policies for multi-modal freight transport and logistics, and
Truck-traffic on highways for sustainable, safer and higher energy efficient freight transport
The objectives of the workshop are to exchange knowledge and experience, to present and share good practice and to discuss challenges and new developments in freight transport and freight related road network operations.
The following topics will be addressed:
These topics are very relevant for the ICWIM7 organisers, the International Society for Weigh-in-Motion (ISWIM) for whom WIM technology, standards, research, policy and applications are in sharp focus. WIM applications support multimodal freight transport policies and truck management strategies on highways.
- Interurban multimodal long distance freight transport and logistics.
- Efficient and sustainable urban freight transport.
- Access, parking, traffic management and impact on the infrastructure of trucks on motorways.
- Heavy vehicles regulations and enforcement.
- High capacity vehicles, platooning, safety and performance.
- Energy efficiency of heavy vehicles on highways.
The joint workshop is a great opportunity to facilitate the exchange of information and cooperation between members of ISWIM and PIARC. Please review the combined programme of ICWIM7/PIARC TC B4.
