ISWIM is an international non-profit organisation legally incorporated in Switzerland. The main decision making body of the organisation is the Board which is elected by the General Assembly and the Vendors College.
 Statutes
The General Assembly consists of all members of ISWIM:

Individual members have one vote each,

Large Corporate Members have 5 votes each, Small Corporate Members have 2 votes each.

The Board consists of up to 15 members:

up to 11 Members are elected by the General Assembly,

up to 2 members are elected by the Vendor's College,

the Board may co-opt a further 4 members provided the total does not exceed 15 .

The Board elects an Executive Board made up of:

President Treasurer General Secretary Information Officer	and, when such positions are filled: President-Elect Vice President (Science)
The Vice-President (Science) is the Chairperson of the upcoming international WIM conference (ICWIM) of ISWIM.
